Where a defendant challenges the declaration of enforceability of a default judgment from the Member State of origin, accompanied by the certificate provided for by Article 54, on the ground that he was not served with the document instituting the proceedings, the court in the Member State in which enforcement is sought has jurisdiction to verify whether the information in that certificate is consistent with the evidence.
